The Data Analyst specializing in Tableau is responsible for interpreting complex data sets and transforming them into actionable insights to drive informed business decisions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, this role involves developing and implementing robust data visualization strategies, maintaining data integrity, and enhancing reporting capabilities. The analyst acts as a trusted partner to stakeholders, providing clarity through effective data visualization and strategic analysis.

What You'll Do

Data Analysis and Visualization

  • Analyze complex data sets based on reporting requirements, providing guidance for data modeling in Snowflake.
  • Develop and implement data visualization strategies using Tableau, delivering insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Create visually appealing, insightful Tableau dashboards and reports tailored to stakeholder needs.

Technical Reporting and Data Management

  • Develop and maintain views in Snowflake to support Tableau data sources.
  • Work within a fast paced and changing data and data governance model, and provide potential improvements and enhancements on current practices
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data and KPIs across all teams and reporting

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical requirements and translate these into actionable Tableau reports.
  • Provide clear, effective communication of complex data insights to stakeholders at varying organizational levels.

User Training and Documentation

  • Offer training and ongoing support to users on Tableau functionality and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary for report metrics, KPIs, and KRIs

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about Tableau updates and developments, proactively recommending enhancements to improve visualization capabilities.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to reporting and analytics tools to enhance business insights.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a data analyst or similar role, with specific focus on Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
  • Strong experience working with SQL and large databases.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
