About the Position We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to organize and activate Parafin's ecosystem of data. You will be responsible for architecting business-critical datasets used across the company. You will drive alignment between teams by ensuring all of Parafin can be pointed to the same sources of truth. About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team, focusing on credit underwriting within the embedded fintech space. You'll be responsible for developing critical components of Clair's loan underwriting engine. The methodologies you develop and apply will directly shape how millions of hourly workers unlock an untapped credit source: their earned wages. In this role, you'll shape our credit strategies, develop innovative predictive models, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. You'll work on high-stakes initiatives like predictive employment tenure and termination models based on employee tenure, shift behavior, pay history, title, industry, and other factors. To succeed in this role, you'll need a deep technical understanding of data science concepts and machine learning. You'll also need to be comfortable building prototypes of novel methodologies from scratch and deploying models to a production environment. Strong business acumen and a track record of data-driven decision-making are essential. You should also have deep knowledge and experience with financial technology and modeling, particularly underwriting, credit risk scoring, and repayment timing optimization. Key Responsibilities Create new algorithms and predictive models to assess risk and underwrite loans. Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models to a production environment. Responsibilities will include ensuring that operational, maintenance and emergency Methods of Procedures (MOP's) are developed, reviewed and audited through all stages of the maintenance process for electrical, mechanical, communications, safety, and security support equipment. Will mentor and provide training for personnel in the planning, scheduling and completion of preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance. Will assist in the development and maintain departmental budgets, focusing on cost saving methods. Training of site personnel on all aspects of individual job duties. Develop and maintain along with supervisors individual training plans for each employee. Lead customer meetings to review happenings on site. Lead root cause analysis process and deep dive into abnormal occurrences within the data center. Assist peers with developing teams. Assist sales, sales engineering, and GM team with customer tours and sales process. Work with Network Operations and Engineering teams to ensure facility systems are regularly updated and the facility remains best in class. About the Position

We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to organize and activate Parafin's ecosystem of data. You will be responsible for architecting business-critical datasets used across the company. You will drive alignment between teams by ensuring all of Parafin can be pointed to the same sources of truth.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • You will foster a data-driven culture by ensuring everyone has easy access to trustworthy and complete data

  • You will interface between data engineering and end users to help improve our data tooling and development velocity

  • You will define and enforce our data best practices - data modeling, testing, version control, and cataloging

  • You will build efficient, modular, flexible, and reliable datasets that can unlock insight for stakeholders across the business - whether for analytic, machine learning, or operational purposes

  • You will identify gaps in how we collect data today, and work with engineering teams to ensure we are measuring the things that we need to measure about our customers and our product

What We're Searching For:

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics or similar role

  • You are deeply experienced with SQL, and are able to write efficient queries

  • You collaborate well with data, engineering, product, and business functions

  • You care deeply about the quality and correctness of your work

  • You are comfortable managing competing and shifting priorities and can organize your own work to accomplish multiple tasks

  • You are excited about working on a small team and setting the foundations for how data is used at Parafin

  • You have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines

  • Familiarity with "modern data stack" tools and technologies, such as Databricks, Airflow, DBT, and Reverse ETL
