The Opportunity: Groundskeeper 3 Who We Look For: The Groundskeeper III position covers limited operations of the groundskeeper position with an expanded role concentrating on task knowledge, equipment operation, and communication. The Groundskeeper III position assists the course maintenance staff in day-to-day operations. Performs daily course maintenance responsibilities to a high level. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Is capable of following instructions as given. Adopt the "culture" of the department in behavior, work ethic, and appearance. Responsibilities: Expected to operate all equipment at a high level once trained. Ability / Willingness to learn new tasks and operate different types of equipment as required. Ability to communicate with Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent / Equipment Technicians when any needs may arise. Make sure all tees and traffic stakes are properly placed at all times. Vehicle operation and care from cleaning to filling w/fuel. Being Hose person for spraying Greens. Raking bunkers, rotary push mower, backpack blower and weed eating. Divot repair, laying sod and planting seed, mowing greens and repair of ball marks on greens. Proper safety procedures. Edging sprinkler heads and valves, to fly-mowing bunkers, to edging cart paths, drains and cleaning yardage plates. General set-up duties. (Change hole placement, move tee markers). Practice Safety Standards at all times. Cleaning the golf operations facility every afternoon. Cleaning Equipment. Make sure all trash is picked up throughout the course everyday Willing Participant in resort work events Ability to have flexible schedules when needed. Minimum Qualifications: Expected to operate all equipment at a high level once trained. Preferred knowledge of turf management practices as related to golf courses, but not required. Preferred experience with golf course equipment usage and safety, but not required. Ability to lift 80 lbs. Work well with others and interact with guests and members on a limited basis. Able to work in a wide range of environmental and physical conditions. Adapt at listening to instructions and following directions from supervisors. A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States. Who We Look For:

The Groundskeeper III position covers limited operations of the groundskeeper position with an expanded role concentrating on task knowledge, equipment operation, and communication. This position requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work with the team as well as work alone, and willingness to want and learn all aspects of golf maintenance. They should be able to work in difficult weather conditions both hot and cold as well as continue to develop their knowledge on course conditions and expectations.

The Groundskeeper III position assists the course maintenance staff in day-to-day operations. Performs daily course maintenance responsibilities to a high level. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Is capable of following instructions as given. Adopt the "culture" of the department in behavior, work ethic, and appearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Expected to operate all equipment at a high level once trained.

  • Ability / Willingness to learn new tasks and operate different types of equipment as required.

  • Ability to communicate with Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent / Equipment Technicians when any needs may arise.

  • Make sure all tees and traffic stakes are properly placed at all times.

  • Vehicle operation and care from cleaning to filling w/fuel.

  • Being Hose person for spraying Greens.

  • Raking bunkers, rotary push mower, backpack blower and weed eating.

  • Divot repair, laying sod and planting seed, mowing greens and repair of ball marks on greens.

  • Proper safety procedures.

  • Edging sprinkler heads and valves, to fly-mowing bunkers, to edging cart paths, drains and cleaning yardage plates.

  • General set-up duties. (Change hole placement, move tee markers).

  • Practice Safety Standards at all times.

  • Cleaning the golf operations facility every afternoon.

  • Cleaning Equipment.

  • Make sure all trash is picked up throughout the course everyday

  • Willing Participant in resort work events

  • Ability to have flexible schedules when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Expected to operate all equipment at a high level once trained.

  • Preferred knowledge of turf management practices as related to golf courses, but not required.

  • Preferred experience with golf course equipment usage and safety, but not required.

  • Ability to lift 80 lbs.

  • Work well with others and interact with guests and members on a limited basis.

  • Able to work in a wide range of environmental and physical conditions.

  • Adapt at listening to instructions and following directions from supervisors.

A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.
