Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Consumer Service Operations Representative is responsible for managing daily referral and prior authorization processes for managed care patients. This role includes processing and reviewing health and prescription claims, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with payer requirements, including Medicare and Medicaid. The coordinator also provides customer service to providers and patients, assists with audits and special projects, and helps train and mentor staff. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. The Consumer Service Operations Representative 2 may perform installation, implementation, client support, client services, client administration, customer service, enrollment and eligibility, claims processing, and call center operations. Investigates and settles claims and customer service issues. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion. Duties and Responsibilities Independently follow up for pending orders. Including Member Liability and Health Plan Authorizations. Submit test claim based on prescription request. Collaborating with the Pharmacy department. Work rejections directly with the Health Insurance Company. Verify eligibility, benefit, and claim status; provide customer service to participants and providers. Use telephone or computer systems to obtain additional information and payments. Request Prior authorizations as required. Participate in special projects and other assigned duties. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bilingual (English and Spanish) 1-3 years of customer service experience, including typing/data entry Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills Aptitude for quickly learning and navigating new technology, systems and applications Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook and Word Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications Pharmacy Technician Certified Associate or bachelor's Degree Previous healthcare experience Previous inbound and/or outbound call center experience Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The Consumer Service Operations Representative is responsible for managing daily referral and prior authorization processes for managed care patients. This role includes processing and reviewing health and prescription claims, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with payer requirements, including Medicare and Medicaid. The coordinator also provides customer service to providers and patients, assists with audits and special projects, and helps train and mentor staff. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

The Consumer Service Operations Representative 2 may perform installation, implementation, client support, client services, client administration, customer service, enrollment and eligibility, claims processing, and call center operations. Investigates and settles claims and customer service issues. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently follow up for pending orders. Including Member Liability and Health Plan Authorizations.

  • Submit test claim based on prescription request. Collaborating with the Pharmacy department.

  • Work rejections directly with the Health Insurance Company.

  • Verify eligibility, benefit, and claim status; provide customer service to participants and providers.

  • Use telephone or computer systems to obtain additional information and payments.

  • Request Prior authorizations as required.

  • Participate in special projects and other assigned duties.
