Responsibilities: Providing safe and reliable transportation within our communities while engaging in the highest level of customer service to our passengers. Ensuring daily that vehicles are both clean and safe for our passengers. Use navigation apps to determine the optimal route to ensure multiple passengers arrive at their destination in a timely manner. Acting as an Ambassador for Freebee and any other partnering company. This can include handing out samples and attending advertising events. Communicate with management and team members about any occurrences while driving within the community. Position Requirements: You must be at least 22 years old. Must have the ability to drive a commercial vehicle. Must have a passion for helping others. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License. Have 3+ years of licensed driving experience in the United States. Must possess strong communication skills. Ability to multitask and navigate a driver app. Must have a clean driving record. Need help – our Driver Support Team is just a call away, always ready to assist. Wrap Up the day by returning your vehicle to the Freebee garage. Position Overview

The Director of Engineering is a key leadership role within our Venice, FL office, responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering operations. This includes guiding technical strategy, mentoring high-performing teams, and ensuring that all projects meet or exceed standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work cross-functionally with teams in surveying, construction management, and business development—driving engineering excellence and delivering innovative solutions that push our business forward.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and technicians specializing in civil land development.
  • Create an environment that encourages professional development, innovation, and team success.
  • Define and implement engineering goals and strategic initiatives aligned with company objectives.

Project Oversight & Technical Direction

  • Oversee engineering projects from concept through construction—ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget alignment.
  • Set technical direction for project design, plans, and deliverables.
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure engineering standards and practices are maintained.
  • Assist in production efforts based on business needs.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with internal departments to support integrated project delivery.
  • Serve as the face of engineering in meetings with clients, municipal officials, and partners.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and solutions effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all engineering work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, ethics, and accountability across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license required.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and other design software.
  • Strong understanding of land development processes including site grading, stormwater, and utility design.
  • Proven experience managing project teams, budgets, and schedules.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and perform field visits as needed.
