Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Payroll Administrator to support and enhance our payroll function. With a growing workforce and a multi-entity structure, our payroll needs are complex and mission-critical. This role will work closely with the current payroll team and the Controller to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing, while also supporting process documentation, reporting, and transition planning as we evolve our structure to meet long-term business needs.

Essential Duties: In addition to related job duties as assigned, this position will:

• Collaborate with existing payroll personnel to manage semi-monthly payroll cycles across multiple entities and states.
• Perform payroll audits, verify calculations, and ensure accuracy in tax withholding, benefits, deductions, and garnishments.
• Support documentation of payroll procedures and assist with building out process workflows and SOPs.
• Provide backup for critical functions and help drive continuity planning.
• Review and reconcile payroll reports; assist with quarter-end and year-end processing.
• Stay current with payroll laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Partner with HR and Finance to troubleshoot issues and deliver exceptional internal service.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge

• 4+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll administration, ideally in a multi-state and multi-entity environment.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth companies; mortgage or financial services a plus.
• Strong proficiency with payroll software (Paycom preferred) and Excel.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellentcommunication,problem-solving,andcollaborationskills.
• Ability to build trust, navigate sensitive environments, and manage upward when needed
• CPP certification or pursuit preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Stationary position; prolonged periods at a desk and working on the computer.
• Occasional movement about inside the office to walk to offices and office machinery.
• Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.

Placement: Contract to Direct

Pay Rate: $30.28-$34.61
