Essential Job Duties Drive safely a truck to transfer product between locations, wholesaler and drop box locations in outlying markets. Pick up truck at the warehouse and may load truck according to safety standards and to ensure product integrity. Verify the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the delivery. Drive to the destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location, confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location. Make proper notations on the manifest or provide credit memos on parts being returned to the locations, wholesalers and drop boxes. Pick up stock purchase orders or buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor “fill in” purchase orders and bring parts back to the location. Complete check in process when returning to the location to verify parts and paperwork. Turn in paperwork after check-in. Comply with established company policies and procedures. Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ’s quality improvement program. May drive a tractor-trailer that requires a CDL Class A License (EZ Driver License in Canada). Pass random drug testing as required. Successful completion of annual training as assigned. Operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Work with Loader Operator to stage cars or pull cars in yard properly Assume other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Not responsible for supervising employees. Minimum Requirements Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED 1+ years of related experience required 1+ years of driving and warehouse experience. Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Must qualify for Corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance. Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as Department of Transportation (“DOT”) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) regulations. Preferred Requirements CDL A License (or EZ Driver License in Canada) Forklift certified. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs. Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management. Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures. Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area. Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction. Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity. No additional competencies required. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive a vehicle most of the time. Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time); use hands to operate machinery. May need to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time. Frequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust. May occasionally wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. May need to work in cramped spaces that could require getting into awkward positions. May be exposed to extreme temperatures, extreme lighting, and high noise levels. Operates in a safety manner a truck to deliver company transfers and customer orders, manually loads/unloads truck, verifies parts unloaded, obtains signatures from receiving location confirming accuracy of parts unloaded, and brings returns back to the warehouse.

Essential Job Duties

  • Drive safely a truck to transfer product between locations, wholesaler and drop box locations in outlying markets.
  • Pick up truck at the warehouse and may load truck according to safety standards and to ensure product integrity. Verify the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the delivery.
  • Drive to the destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location, confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location.
  • Make proper notations on the manifest or provide credit memos on parts being returned to the locations, wholesalers and drop boxes.
  • Pick up stock purchase orders or buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor “fill in” purchase orders and bring parts back to the location.
  • Complete check in process when returning to the location to verify parts and paperwork.
  • Turn in paperwork after check-in.
  • Comply with established company policies and procedures. Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ’s quality improvement program.
  • May drive a tractor-trailer that requires a CDL Class A License (EZ Driver License in Canada).
  • Pass random drug testing as required.
  • Successful completion of annual training as assigned.
