Courier Driver

SPS Global is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Courier Driver to support on-site logistics operations in Santa Clara, California. This role is integral to our courier, freight, and dock support functions, ensuring timely deliveries, operational efficiency, and exceptional service standards.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and represents SPS with professionalism while maintaining strict compliance with safety and chain-of-custody procedures.
Job Overview
The Courier Driver supports SPS Global’s logistics and distribution operations by coordinating and executing parcel, freight, and mail deliveries across designated locations. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational flow within shipping, receiving, and dock environments.
In addition to courier responsibilities, this position provides dock and freight handling support to ensure efficient material movement and compliance with company standards.
Reports To:Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership
What You’ll Do
Courier & Delivery Operations
Navigate predefined delivery routes via company vehicle to deliver mail and parcels safely and efficiently
Ensure timely and accurate distribution of deliveries
Maintain detailed logs and time stamps for items received and delivered
Support chain-of-custody documentation and compliance requirements
Freight & Dock Support
Manage loading and unloading of freight in accordance with safety standards
Assist with organization and management of shipping and receiving areas
Support dock operations to maintain workflow efficiency
Coordinate proper distribution of freight and materials
Vehicle & Safety Management
Perform routine inspections and ensure operational readiness of delivery vehicles
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Report maintenance concerns and ensure vehicles meet operational standards
Customer Service & Operational Support
Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and SPS employees
Respond promptly and professionally to operational requests
Proactively seek additional tasks during downtime
Provide cross-functional support across logistics and operational areas as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current state-issued driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to work assigned hours as determined by manager
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs
Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
Preferred
2+ years of experience in courier, freight handling, dock, or logistics roles
Experience operating within warehouse or dock environments
Familiarity with delivery tracking systems and logistics technology

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and maneuver freight up to 60 lbs.

Physical capability to load, unload, and transport materials safely
