Keep the work area clean by ensuring mail bins are under machines or in APC’s, plastic straps are off floor to prevent possible tripping hazards, and sweeping the floors between assigned pickups or deliveries, and all other duties as assigned. Demonstrate safety and security precautions and follow company policies. Regular scheduled attendance is mandatory. As a CDL A Lead Truck Driver IV , you have : Minimum 21 years in age. Work Environment: About 50% of the time is spent working outside making deliveries in all weather conditions. Temperatures can vary from below zero to above 90 degrees, depending on the time of year. Physical Requirements Analysis: The position requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting. There is occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing. There is frequent use of the hands/arms to reach, feel, handle, or pull. There is frequent communication involving both talking and listening. Weight or Force Moved: Drivers must be able to pull a delivery hose (a weight of up to 75 lbs. - up to 150 feet an average of 30 times daily). Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition. Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys. Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures. Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way. Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime. Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
