Position Overview: Drivers at Costa Engelmann, our operating unit in Apopka, FL, play a crucial role in repositioning company-owned equipment across various farm locations. This includes intra-farm movements within individual farms and inter-farm movements between different farm locations. The position primarily involves transporting trailers containing hard-goods, live-goods, and empty trailers. Additionally, drivers will be required to provide assistance with loading and off-loading as needed. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Read and analyze reports and printouts to assess material requirements and operational needs. Coordinate with the dock team to supply necessary materials on a daily basis, ensuring timely delivery to support production schedules. Safely load and offload rolling racks from/to the dock using appropriate equipment and techniques. Monitor material inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly. Organize buffer materials and maintain the finish product area to ensure efficient workflow and accessibility. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the designated work area, adhering to company standards and safety protocols. Operate company-owned and leased/rented Semi Tractors responsibly, following all traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide support for shipping processes as required, assisting with loading, unloading, and transportation of goods. Assist in breaking down racks and other equipment when necessary to facilitate storage or transportation. Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the designated work area. Support all shipping process as needed. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) CLASS A with a clean driving record per company requirements At least 2 years of experience in operating semi tractors and handling materials in a warehouse or logistics environment. Ability to read and interpret reports, prioritize tasks, and make data-driven decisions. Experience in loading and unloading rolling racks and other materials safely and efficiently. Working Condition & Physical Requirements Monday to Friday shift schedule with potential for additional hours as needed. Effective verbal communication skills with a keen aptitude for listening, understanding, and following directions. Capable of loading and offloading rolling racks to and from the dock. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day, both manually and with heavy equipment. Able to push or move products on rolling racks weighing between 50 to 100 pounds, occasionally up to 150 pounds. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Proficiency in driving and working in various traffic and weather conditions. Strong observational and auditory abilities essential for the role. Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods. Regular tasks include sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and ladders. Routine lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of materials. Maintenance of a valid DOT Medical Card. Competencies Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain inventory accuracy and keep work areas tidy. Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with team members. Position Overview:

Drivers at Costa Engelmann, our operating unit in Apopka, FL, play a crucial role in repositioning company-owned equipment across various farm locations. This includes intra-farm movements within individual farms and inter-farm movements between different farm locations. The position primarily involves transporting trailers containing hard-goods, live-goods, and empty trailers. Additionally, drivers will be required to provide assistance with loading and off-loading as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Read and analyze reports and printouts to assess material requirements and operational needs.
  • Coordinate with the dock team to supply necessary materials on a daily basis, ensuring timely delivery to support production schedules.
  • Safely load and offload rolling racks from/to the dock using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Monitor material inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.
  • Organize buffer materials and maintain the finish product area to ensure efficient workflow and accessibility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the designated work area, adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
  • Operate company-owned and leased/rented Semi Tractors responsibly, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Provide support for shipping processes as required, assisting with loading, unloading, and transportation of goods.
  • Assist in breaking down racks and other equipment when necessary to facilitate storage or transportation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the designated work area.
  • Support all shipping process as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) CLASS A with a clean driving record per company requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in operating semi tractors and handling materials in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret reports, prioritize tasks, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in loading and unloading rolling racks and other materials safely and efficiently.

Working Condition & Physical Requirements

  • Monday to Friday shift schedule with potential for additional hours as needed.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with a keen aptitude for listening, understanding, and following directions. Capable of loading and offloading rolling racks to and from the dock.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day, both manually and with heavy equipment.
  • Able to push or move products on rolling racks weighing between 50 to 100 pounds, occasionally up to 150 pounds.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in driving and working in various traffic and weather conditions.
  • Strong observational and auditory abilities essential for the role.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
  • Regular tasks include sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and ladders.
  • Routine lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of materials.
  • Maintenance of a valid DOT Medical Card.
