General Description: The CDL B Delivery Driver is responsible for completing assigned duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The CDL B Delivery Driver does this by performing daily inspections on trucks, reporting daily on trucks' operating conditions, and ensuring the vehicle is maintained in safe and professional operating conditions. The CDL B Delivery Driver is also responsible for maintaining driver logs by federal motor carrier regulations, promoting, and maintaining company, FMCSA, FSMA, and OSHA safety policies. The CDL B Delivery Driver completes these functions in support of the distribution of dairy-related products. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for achieving assigned goals in the areas of distribution, safety, quality, performance, and cost. Responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering dairy products from the warehouse to customers. Rotate and fill shelves with merchandise at retail locations removing out-of-date products as needed. Assist in writing customer orders and make changes as needed. Accurate account collection and reconciliation. Collect all empty cases returning to the warehouse at the end of the shift. Provide superior customer service to each account through timely and accurate delivery of all products, always engaging in positive interactions with customers. Act as a liaison of the company, resolve customer concerns and issues and provide information to supervisory staff when unable to do so. Operate straight trucks in compliance with all DOT regulations. Must be able to drive a standard transmission. Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections on equipment. Maintain accurate HOS records on electronic logging devices (ELD).
