The Department of Computer Science at High Point University invites applications for a full-time 9-month, Department Chair/faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank. Assists the Provost to design programs to increase the retention of students within the Department. Generates data to evaluate the effectiveness of the Department’s academic programs. Leads ABET accreditation activities within the department Collaborates with departmental colleagues for curriculum design and delivery. Provides mentorship and advisement for students in the Department of Computer Science. Communicates teaching and research activities through frequent and effective communication with the Dean. Publishes scientific findings in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and conferences and present research at regional and national meetings. Integrates and enhances interactions between the departments within the School of Engineering in areas of research, education, and service. Builds relationships between the Department of Computer Science and other departments across campus. Acts as a representative and advocate for the department, school, and the university.
