We strive to teach kids science in a digestable manner that will stay with them for a life time. You will present awesome, hands-on science programs to elementary-aged kids, including launching your very own rockets hundreds of feet into the air and performing many other thrilling experiments! Kids (and adults) will be amazed! We have worked in collaboration with Crayola™, NASA, and Lego™ to develop some of our programs. Roles & Responsibilities - Observe a seasoned instructor and attend orientation and training prior to leading your program. - Ensure the safety of the kids during programs. - Engage with the kids during the activities and experiments. The goal is for the the kids to have fun, not sit through a lecture. - Must be able to lift equipment in kits, can vary in size and weight (heavier kits have wheels). Your vehicle must be able to accommodate the equipment for the program. - Must be able to drive to and from programs with your own vehicle. Programs near you include locations in Schedule and Pay - After School programs last 1.5 hours and typically begin between 3-4pm. You will have 2 programs per week, but if you have more availability, you can work more days. This is a part-time position. - After School programs pay $40 per program. - Mileage is compensated for any program over 25 miles round trip. Qualifications - Must have experience working with children. - Your own reliable car and license. - Must be comfortable undergoing a background check. - Must be over 18 years of age. - Must be vaccinated for COVID-19. - A background in science and/or experiencing performing is a plus! This position is responsible for providing process support to the manufacturing groups at the Round Lake Site. The Manufacturing Sciences team is responsible for investigating and troubleshooting adverse events within the manufacturing facility area by assisting our quality and manufacturing partners in troubleshooting issues, supporting regulatory inspections by defending technical decisions to regulatory agencies and maintaining process compliance. The team develops scientific and engineering insight and knowledge on the fill-finish operations resident in the site and owns the specifications for the product and intermediaries. Finally, the team owns the site yield metric, and the yield improvement projects for the site. How you will Contribute: Lead and support teams to support complex technical problems that are critical to Deviations and CAPA’s. Develop and disseminate technical insight and knowledge in fill-finish operations and associated exceptions, through definition of technical projects and subsequent planning and execution. Develop expertise in effect of filling/finishing operations on biologics. Provide technical reports in support of Process Validation Act as liaison with Regulatory on projects requiring regulatory submissions. Support the site during inspections as one of the technical experts. Lead and drive yield improvement projects in support of higher yields. Track and trend yields and report on key metrics. Interface with Manufacturing to help drive key metrics. Mentor junior team members supervise interns or rotation of Operation Development Program participants. What you bring to Takeda: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or other related technical field. 4+ years of related experience. We handle over 89 million unique cells worth of single cell transcriptomic data, over 15 thousand cryoET tomograms that are in imaging datasets as large as 20TB and counting, and will be expanding to support larger scale and additional imaging, sequencing, and literature modalities. Our resources provide access to open source data that is structured and used by tens of thousands of scientists each month to quickly query and form hypotheses on understanding how genetic variants in cells impact disease risk, define drug toxicities, and eventually discover better therapies. As a software engineer on the Data Engineering team, you will help implement all the data needs for our platforms, CELLxGENE Discover, CryoET, as well as the new platform we are building that has a focus on data for AI and the virtual cell, in order to enable scientists to further interrogate our very large and growing corpus of data without any need to download the data itself or have any computational expertise. You will work on a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to develop solutions for our scientist users to accelerate their workflows and accelerate the pace of scientific discovery. Qualifications
-         Must have experience working with children.
-         Your own reliable car and license.
-         Must be comfortable undergoing a background check.
-         Must be over 18 years of age. 
-         Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
-         A background in science and/or experiencing performing is a plus!
Compensation: $40.00 per hour
