CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Exercise Planner, Senior to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Exercise Planning processes and design exercise scenarios, technology solutions and partner capabilities in alignment with USSOUTHCOM Objectives. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of Enterprise Information Environment (EIE) technology capabilities across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES). 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Plans USSOUTHCOM and/or joint Cyberspace Operations and Cyber exercises according to campaign plans and requirements in support of Command and Control Interoperability Program (C2IP) services 

  • Develops and designs cyber exercise scenarios aligned with mission objectives and strategic priorities 

  • Coordinates with various military and civilian stakeholders to ensure exercise alignment with overall operational goals 

  • Creates realistic, complex cyber threat scenarios to challenge the command’s defenses and response capabilities 

  • Supports the development of instructions and teaching tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) related to Cyberspace Operations. 

  • Coordinates and collaborates within USSOUTHCOM SCITES staff and customer cyber elements, mission partners and other responsible agents to facilitate timely analysis and specific exercise development  

  • Supports development of management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions 

  • Publishes Cyberspace Operations Exercise Results after each event takes place.  

  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments 

  • Plans and leads major technology assignments 

  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments 

  • May supervise others 

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Must hold an active secret level clearance 

  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in C5 Interoperability and Exercise Planning roles 

  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification 

  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate meetings with diverse groups of stakeholders 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Develop and design cyber exercise scenarios aligned with mission objectives and strategic priorities. 

  • Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field 

  • Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise
