This role will require coordination and collaboration within the Protein Science and Bioconjugation group to generate next-gen biologic candidates, and with Antibody Discovery and Engineering, and Biology teams to optimize and advance brain-penetrant biologics. Position Specific Responsibilities: Develop and refine relevant chromatographic separation techniques (affinity, ion-exchange, size exclusion, HIC, multi-modal) using standard and computer interfaced chromatography systems Establish and execute workflows enabling high-throughput production for screening through gram scale production to support primate studies Troubleshoot and optimize strategies to purify and characterize complex molecules Apply biophysical methods to assess size, thermal stability, aggregate and particulate contamination Consistently deliver internally qualified high-quality protein for in vitro assays, animal studies, and structure determination Multiplex purifications to drive efficiency and shorter delivery times Coordinate purification and characterization with requested timing of qualified protein Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with protein purification and relevant chromatographic techniques Deep expertise with AKTA Pure and AKTA Avant chromatographic systems is required Direct hands-on experience with analytical characterization techniques (e.g. SDS-PAGE, SEC, light scatter, differential scanning calorimetry/fluorimetry) Ability to design and execute experiments and trouble-shoot challenges independently Familiarity with mass spectrometry is desirable Experience with bispecific antibody purification is preferable Self-motivated with an ability to handle multiple customized purifications, and scale to the request of purified material Outstanding analytical, research and organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Requirements: PhD in biochemistry, protein engineering or related field 5+ years of relevant industry experience *Position level determined by candidate experience, qualifications, and competencies

Join Alexandria Insights as a Junior Science & Technology Analyst, supporting innovation within the Marine Corps acquisition ecosystem.

We're looking for an early-career professional to support the government's Science & Technology (S&T) lead in evaluating new concepts, tracking emerging tech, and helping align promising solutions with ongoing acquisition programs. You'll gain exposure to efforts like Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects, tech scouting, and prototype transitions, while building a deep understanding of how research becomes reality for the warfighter.

Key Responsibilities:

Help track and evaluate S&T initiatives (e.g., SBIR/STTR), including emerging technologies relevant to tactical communications, electromagnetic warfare, and C4ISR.

Assist in aligning S&T efforts with PM TCE program needs by mapping research initiatives to operational gaps.

Support coordination across program offices, engineering leads, and external research partners (e.g., ONR, DARPA, NIWC).

Monitor proposal submissions, white papers, and technology briefs; maintain organized documentation in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint).

Capture notes and track action items during Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), S&T reviews, and stakeholder coordination sessions.

Contribute to tech assessments and help prepare material for internal briefs, decision points, and innovation pipeline reviews.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, or analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Data Science).

0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships, research assistantships, or coursework involving technology development or policy.

Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills with attention to technical clarity and document structure.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred:

Familiarity with DoD S&T programs such as SBIR, ONR Tech Transition, or DARPA initiatives.

Basic understanding of acquisition pathways and the early phases of technology development.

Exposure to systems engineering or interest in learning how ideas become fielded capabilities.
