Job DetailsJob Details:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Permanent Real Estate Litigation Attorney specializing in Landlord/Tenant disputes. The successful candidate will be joining our dynamic and fast-paced team in the Legal industry. This role will involve dealing with a variety of real estate matters, with a particular focus on landlord and tenant disputes, housing court proceedings, supreme court cases, NYC housing, and condominium issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in this area, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
• Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
• Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
• Confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
• Act as agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals.
• Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
• Arbitrate disputes between parties and assist in the real estate closing process.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a real estate litigation attorney, with a focus on landlord and tenant disputes.
• Proven track record of representing clients in housing and supreme court.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of NYC housing and condominium laws.
• Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
