Paralegal Jobs 2026 (Now Hiring) – Smart Auto Apply

MCV Law is seeking an experienced Estate Probate Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our Estate Team in the Chittenango Office. This is an on-site position.

As a Probate Paralegal, you will handle a wide range of responsibilities related to estate settlement, asset distribution, and probate filings. You’ll work closely with executors, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and the Surrogate’s Court to ensure each matter progresses efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

•Estate administration — prepare probate petitions, gather asset information, draft inventories, and assist with accounting.

•Court filings — manage e-filing, prepare notices, and coordinate service of process

•Client communication — guide executors and beneficiaries through the probate process with clarity and professionalism

•Document drafting — prepare waivers, consents, affidavits, and correspondence

•Case management — maintain deadlines, track progress, and organize case files

•Coordination with third parties — communicate with banks, insurance companies, accountants, and appraisers

Qualifications

•Minimum of 2 years of experience in probate, estate planning, or estate litigation

•Strong understanding of Surrogate’s Court procedures and probate timelines

•Excellent communication, drafting, and organizational skills

•Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems. 

•Ability to manage multiple cases with accuracy and minimal supervision

Compensation ranges from $25 to $35 per hour and is dependent on experience. Candidates with extensive experience in Estate Administration may be eligible for additional compensation.
