Job Details

Responsibilities:As a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

1. Assisting attorneys in the preparation for hearings, trials, and depositions.
2. Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and appeals.
3. Coordinating and managing the attorney's calendar, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
4. Conducting client interviews and maintaining general contact with the client, ensuring they are kept informed of case progress.
5. Conducting legal research and investigations as required.
6. Managing the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
7. Utilizing eFile system to file court documents electronically.
8. Coordinating with expert witnesses and managing evidence.
9. Assisting in the preparation of settlement agreements.

Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal.
2. Proven experience in hearings, preparing legal documents, depositions, eFiling, calendar management, and discovery.
3. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Excellent research and report-writing skills.
7. The ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
10. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
