Job Description
Kennedy Capital Management (KCM) is a St. Louis-based boutique investment firm with a 40-year track record in small- and mid-cap domestic equity. We're hiring a Client Service Manager to own the production of prospect and client materials, lead RFP/RFI/DDQ responses, and help us bring more automation and efficiency to how this work gets done. This role works alongside our Client Relationship Manager as part of a two-person Client Services team.
What You'll Do:
- Produce and maintain client-facing materials - pitchbooks, presentations, and collateral - with a high bar for accuracy and polish.
- Monitor the shared client communications inbox and respond promptly to client, consultant, and prospect inquiries (shared core daily responsibility).
- Own the recurring operational work that keeps client service running: data pulls, report distribution, meeting logistics, etc. We expect this person to do the work well and look for ways to make it faster, more accurate and automated over time.
- Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs, partnering w/investment, operations, and compliance to deliver complete, on-time submissions.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, consults, and prospects, coordinating communications and on-site meetings.
- Identify opportunities to streamline how the team works - including AI tools, building reusable content libraries, and reducing manual steps in recurring workflows. We've built a strong foundation; we're looking for someone who can help build on it.
- Partner w/the broader business development team on ad hoc projects and requests.
What We're Looking for:
- Relevant experience in institutional client service for an asset manager. We're open to candidates at different career stages and will calibrate scope and compensation accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong project management instincts and high tolerance for detail-oriented recurring work. You take pride in doing routine work well and look for ways to improve it over time.
- A bias toward process improvement. If you've used AI tools, scripting, or templating to make a recurring task faster, we want to hear about it.
- Comfort w/MS Office and Adobe required; familiarity w/Salesforce, FactSet, or UBS Holt is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree and/or asset management licensing (Series 7, 63, 65, etc.) is a plus.
- Discretion w/confidential information and a strong compliance mindset. Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
