Ensure that guests have a positive and enjoyable dining experience. Order Management: Relay orders to the kitchen staff and bar, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and delivery of food and drinks. Verify that orders are prepared correctly and visually appealing before serving them to guests. Handle special requests or dietary restrictions from customers. Table Maintenance: Set up and clean tables before and after guests' dining experiences. Ensure tables are properly arranged and utensils, glassware, and condiments are in place. Continuously monitor tables to promptly clear dirty dishes and refill drinks. Payment Processing: Present bills to guests and process payments accurately. Handle cash and credit card transactions, provide change, and process payments through the restaurant's POS system. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return. Knowledge of Menu and Specials: Stay informed about the restaurant's menu, including daily specials and promotions. Communicate any changes or updates in the menu to guests. Provide detailed information about the ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens in dishes. Upselling and Add-ons: Suggest additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the dining experience. Upsell higher-margin menu items when appropriate. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. Adhere to personal hygiene standards and dress codes. Qualifications: Previous experience as a server or in customer service, preferably in a restaurant setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the menu and the ability to describe dishes to guests. Strong attention to detail and a customer-oriented attitude. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food and drinks. A restaurant server is a critical part of the dining experience, as they are often the primary point of contact between guests and the restaurant. Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Typically, Monday through Friday. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Work as a team with other teaching staff and assist with daily activities in the Head Start center as required. 2. Prime 55 Restaurant Downtown is looking for one Server to join our team. We are located at 1019 Pine Street. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working. A restaurant server, often referred to as a waiter or waitress, plays a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of a restaurant.

Job Summary:

As a Restaurant Server, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional dining experiences to guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Your friendly and attentive service contributes to the overall satisfaction of restaurant patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
  • Assist guests with menu choices, provide recommendations, and answer questions about the food and beverages.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Ensure that guests have a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

Order Management:

  • Relay orders to the kitchen staff and bar, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and delivery of food and drinks.
  • Verify that orders are prepared correctly and visually appealing before serving them to guests.
  • Handle special requests or dietary restrictions from customers.

Table Maintenance:

  • Set up and clean tables before and after guests' dining experiences.
  • Ensure tables are properly arranged and utensils, glassware, and condiments are in place.
  • Continuously monitor tables to promptly clear dirty dishes and refill drinks.

Payment Processing:

  • Present bills to guests and process payments accurately.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, provide change, and process payments through the restaurant's POS system.
  • Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return.

Knowledge of Menu and Specials:

  • Stay informed about the restaurant's menu, including daily specials and promotions.
  • Communicate any changes or updates in the menu to guests.
  • Provide detailed information about the ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens in dishes.

Upselling and Add-ons:

  • Suggest additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the dining experience.
  • Upsell higher-margin menu items when appropriate.

Cleanliness and Hygiene:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
  • Adhere to personal hygiene standards and dress codes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a server or in customer service, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the menu and the ability to describe dishes to guests.
  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Basic math skills for processing payments accurately.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food and drinks.
