You should have at least 5 years of experience with medium and heavy-duty vehicles, and be just as comfortable working on gasoline engines as you are with diesel. If you've got experience with equipment and hydraulic systems, that's a big plus, and a background in mobile or roadside assistance would be fantastic, as some field work is part of the job.
