Successful candidate will be investigating complaints against licensed and unlicensed contractors involving alleged violation of Nevada law that may involve unlicensed practice, construction fraud, embezzlement, theft, diversion of funds, financial matters, and administrative violations. Requirements Respond to complaints from consumers, contractors, suppliers, or public agencies. Investigate unlicensed and unlawful practice, fraud, and various administrative violations related to residential and commercial construction projects. Gather and evaluate evidence such as contracts, bid documents, workmanship standards, licensure and permits, business license information, worker’s compensation and Employment security records and any other relevant documentation. Coordinate possible case resolution by conducting meetings and facilitating other corrective action. Prepare investigative memorandum and other investigative reports as required. Must possess a current Peace Officer’s Standards and Training Commission (POST) Category One or Category Two certification. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in law enforcement or criminal investigations or equivalent experience; or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related area of study and a minimum of four (4) years experience in law enforcement or criminal investigations or equivalent experience; or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Demonstrate knowledge of the provisions of NRS 624 and the building codes for use in Nevada. Complete annually at least 16 hours of training related to law enforcement or construction. Comply with the Code of Ethical Standards as prescribed in NRS 281A.400 and submit to the Board a completed set of fingerprints and written permission authorizing the Board to submit those fingerprints to the Nevada Records of Criminal History for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for its report policy obtained by the Board. The successful candidate must successfully pass the Construction Management Survey Exam (CMS), administered by the NSCB within the first year of employment. You will provide essential weather insights that enhance the effectiveness and security of Air Force and Army operations globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce timely and accurate weather analyses tailored specifically for military installations worldwide.
  • Develop detailed Mission Execution Forecasts (MEFs) including critical weather information for takeoff, enroute travel, destination, and refueling operations.
  • Conduct and present comprehensive Wing Activity Report (WAR) Briefs.
  • Provide targeted weather briefings to aircrews, senior leaders, and mission planners.
  • Monitor hazardous weather conditions such as lightning, icing, and other meteorological phenomena in real-time.
  • Utilize tactical situation display (TACSIT) software to effectively visualize and communicate weather threats.
  • Mentor and oversee trainees, ensuring proficiency in creating mission-specific weather products.
  • Participate regularly in training sessions, including Meteorological Conferences (MetCon).
  • Work efficiently in shift-based schedules within a 24/7 operational setting.
  • Respond adeptly under pressure during severe weather events, combat operations, and emergency scenarios.

Requirements

Essential Skills: The ideal candidate demonstrates superior proficiency with advanced weather systems, notably AFW-WEBS and Mark IV-B platforms. A high level of skill with Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—is essential, along with outstanding abilities in oral presentation and technical communication. Quick adaptability to new technologies and operational software introduced by the unit is crucial.

Your competencies should include in-depth knowledge of military meteorology, project management fundamentals, information technology (IT) analysis, and strategic communication. Additionally, expertise in Air Force Weather Career Field Education and Training Plans (CFETP), including skill-level training and specialty standards, is essential. Knowledge of advanced distributed learning systems provided by the Air Force Weather Knowledge Center is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two (2) years certified weather forecasting experience supporting DoD operations, with at least three (3) years required specifically for positions within the 732 OSS unit.
  • Robust knowledge and application of comprehensive security principles related to Communications Security (COMSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Computer Security (COMPUSEC).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess, develop, and implement effective security measures, manage vulnerabilities, and maintain the integrity of classified information.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Special Access Program (SAP) networks, NATO protocols, and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) is required.
