We are actively seeking faculty with recent clinical experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics (Maternal–Newborn), Pediatrics, Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health, and Nursing Leadership and Professional Practice. Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, including coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
  • Valid, active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Four (4) years of continuous, full-time (or equivalent) direct patient care experience as an RN.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience within the past five (5) years.
  • Direct patient care experience within the past five (5) years in the assigned clinical specialty area or patient population (e.g., Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics/Maternal–Newborn, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health).
  • Teaching assignments are aligned to demonstrated recent clinical experience in the applicable content area.
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Up-to-date immunization records.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and basic computer skills.
  • Compensation $50.00–$65.00 per hour Compensation is based on education and experience.

Preferred:

  • Prior teaching or clinical precepting experience in an academic or clinical education setting.
  • Knowledge of ATI and CourseKey.
  • Experience teaching both didactic and clinical courses in a nursing program.
