As a Clinical Services Manager of Nursing at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. The Clinical Services Manager provides management of and clinical supervision to members of the Nursing team within Hospital and Residential Services. Within the framework of the organizational management philosophy, is responsible for the administration, coordination, and direction of staff activities related to assigned department. Provides advice and counsel to staff regarding their area of expertise. Represents organization to organizational constituencies, health care institutions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Communicates and actuates mission to the department. Leads department customer service initiatives. Develops strategic and operational plans for department, implements new courses of action flowing out of organizational and divisional plans. Seeks to incorporate new technologies and methods to improve overall effectiveness. Exemplifies a strong, positive attitude during times of crisis and uncertainty. Ensures the necessary data and tools are available to team members and staff to work through actual and potential barriers to improvement. What Does the Role Require? Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Master degree in nursing (MSN) strongly preferred or plans to complete Master’s degree within five years of hire. Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan National Board Certification in Specialty area (ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing: RN-BC, AONE Certified in Executive Nursing Practice: CENP or Certified Nurse Manager and Leader; CNML or similar) preferred or obtain within 18 months of hire. Minimum of three years clinical experience in a behavior health setting with progressively more responsible leadership experience Two years prior supervisory or manager experience and five years of clinical experience in similar areas preferred. POSITION SUMMARY The primary purpose of the Assistant Director of Nursing Services is to assess, plan, implement and coordinate the clinical care program in conjunction with the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest quality of care is maintained at all times. The Assistant Director of Nursing Services will also supervise the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance to compliance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility as well as responsible to support, mentor and empower the nursing staff according to the nurse practice act. The ADON works as the interim DON in the absence of the DON. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. What Will You Do?

As a Clinical Services Manager of Nursing at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion.  The Clinical Services Manager provides management of and clinical supervision to members of the Nursing team within Hospital and Residential Services. Within the framework of the organizational management philosophy, is responsible for the administration, coordination, and direction of staff activities related to assigned department. Provides advice and counsel to staff regarding their area of expertise. Represents organization to organizational constituencies, health care institutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicates and actuates mission to the department.

  • Responsible for the overall management of the department’s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives with 24 hour a day accountability.

  • Leads department customer service initiatives.

  • Develops strategic and operational plans for department, implements new courses of action flowing out of organizational and divisional plans.

  • Serves as a member of various committees to participate in organization-wide discussions.

  • Functions as a change agent by appropriately challenging current processes, policies and procedures. Seeks to incorporate new technologies and methods to improve overall effectiveness. Exemplifies a strong, positive attitude during times of crisis and uncertainty.

  • Develops annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals to encourage progress within the department.

  • Provides technical expertise to coach and multidisciplinary team in the area of organizational quality and performance improvement. Ensures the necessary data and tools are available to team members and staff to work through actual and potential barriers to improvement.

  • Utilizes department/operating unit structure to achieve goals and strategies, making changes when necessary for better efficiency and to further develop core competencies of the department.

What Does the Role Require?

Education/Experience:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

  • Master degree in nursing (MSN) strongly preferred or plans to complete Master’s degree within five years of hire.

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan

  • National Board Certification in Specialty area (ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing: RN-BC, AONE Certified in Executive Nursing Practice: CENP or Certified Nurse Manager and Leader; CNML or similar) preferred or obtain within 18 months of hire.

  • Minimum of three years clinical experience in a behavior health setting with progressively more responsible leadership experience

  • Two years prior supervisory or manager experience and five years of clinical experience in similar areas preferred.
