Represent nursing and administrative interests in system-wide planning and decision-making. 11. Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance care delivery, patient experience, and organizational culture. 12. Mentor and develop senior nursing and administrative leaders. 13. Participate in executive governance, strategic planning, and board-level discussions. 14. Ensure alignment with organizational mission, values, and strategic goals. 15. We are excited to grow our faculty complement with new leadership and organizational structure. Also aware of the caregiver or other individuals living with the patient and interpersonal issues. Assisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist. Offering and assisting with bedpans and urinals. Providing assistance as assigned with light laundry needs. Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency. Providing respite for patient's/family/caregiver when on-site, as appropriate. Keeping patient's living area clean and orderly, as assigned. Adhering to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct. Participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities. Respectful of patient and family/caregiver environment and patient's personal needs. The hospice aide will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the Nurse Practice Act. Educates on the proper home health strategies and procedures utilizing community resources as applicable Observes and reports patient symptoms, reaction to treatments, drugs and changes in the patient’s physical or emotional condition, responsible for medication reconciliation Participates in in-service programs, supervising and teaching other nursing personnel as assigned Administers medication per agency policy and physician orders Provides written instructions for aides or other ancillary disciplines caring for the patient Processes orders and notifies physician of patient needs and changes in condition Refers cases with physician’s orders to Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Medical Social Worker for those patients requiring their specialized skills Understands and adheres to the Policy/Procedure, Best Practices, Infection Control Plan, EMS Plan and the Compliance Plan Participates in clinical record/utilization review of medical records and quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) quarterly and as assigned. Reports/records all applicable infections, occurrences, and complaints Submits documentation within 24 hours or per state requirements Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee, and agency matters Takes on-call duty nights, weekends, and holidays, as assigned. The Chief Administrative Officer / Chief Nursing Executive (CAO/CNE) is a dual-role executive leader

responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of nursing services and administrative functions

across the academic healthcare system. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered

care while advancing academic, research, and clinical integration. The CAO/CNE serves as a key

member of the executive team, driving innovation, operational excellence, and workforce engagement

across all care settings.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide strategic direction for nursing practice, education, and research across the system.

2. Ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based care delivery.

3. Foster a culture of professional development, shared governance, and nursing leadership.

4. Champion initiatives that improve patient outcomes, safety, and experience.

5. Lead operational and administrative functions including clinical operations, support services, and

strategic initiatives.

6. Collaborate with academic partners to align clinical operations with educational and research

missions.

7. Drive performance improvement, operational efficiency, and financial stewardship.

8. Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and succession strategies.

9. Serve as a liaison between clinical operations and academic leadership to support interdisciplinary

collaboration.
