Stanbridge University is seeking a collaborative and organized Assistant Program Director to support the leadership and administration of the Vocational Nursing (VN) Program. Working under the direction of the Program Director, this role will assist with curriculum implementation, faculty supervision, regulatory compliance, and student support to ensure a high-quality learning environment and successful program outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Program Director in managing the daily operations of the Vocational Nursing program. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and evaluation of instructional staff. Academic Oversight: Collaborate on curriculum delivery, faculty schedules, instructional resources, and course planning. Student Engagement: Monitor student performance and progress; implement support strategies in coordination with faculty and student services. Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure adherence to BVNPT regulations and institutional policies; assist with preparation for accreditation site visits and audits. Clinical Education Support: Coordinate clinical site assignments and maintain communication with clinical partners as needed. Data and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report program data for internal review and external compliance requirements. Leadership Collaboration: Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration; represent the program at meetings or events in the Program Director’s absence. Qualifications: Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California. Education: Bachelor’s degree from a BVNPT-approved school required; Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse. At least one (1) year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program (VN, RN, or psychiatric technician) within the last five years; or Three (3) years in nursing administration or education within the last five years. Professional Preparation: Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school. Skills: Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a collaborative leadership style; ability to support program outcomes and student achievement. Director of Nursing, Post-Care Cardiac & Acute Stroke Harlingen, Texas We are seeking a dynamic and experienced  Director of Nursing  to lead our Post-Care Cardiac and Acute Stroke units. This full-time, leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of patient care in a critical area. You will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care. As the Director, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units, providing 24/7 oversight of your assigned areas. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the competency of our clinical staff and optimizing resource management related to patient care in both Acute Stroke and Cardiac Care. Responsibilities Provide leadership and support to the CNO for all nursing and designated patient care functions/services within the hospital. Assume 24/7 responsibility for assigned Post-Care Cardiac and Acute Stroke units. Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level. Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care for patients in Cardiac and Acute Stroke units. Accountable for the competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing Requirements Qualifications Required: Education:  Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school combined with a Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience:  Minimum of  2 years of progressive management experience  in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position. Licensure/Certifications: Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Skills:  Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, and strong hospital operational knowledge. Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Master's degree in a healthcare-related field. Job Description

Stanbridge University is seeking a collaborative and organized Assistant Program Director to support the leadership and administration of the Vocational Nursing (VN) Program. Working under the direction of the Program Director, this role will assist with curriculum implementation, faculty supervision, regulatory compliance, and student support to ensure a high-quality learning environment and successful program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Director in managing the daily operations of the Vocational Nursing program.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and evaluation of instructional staff.
  • Academic Oversight: Collaborate on curriculum delivery, faculty schedules, instructional resources, and course planning.
  • Student Engagement: Monitor student performance and progress; implement support strategies in coordination with faculty and student services.
  • Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure adherence to BVNPT regulations and institutional policies; assist with preparation for accreditation site visits and audits.
  • Clinical Education Support: Coordinate clinical site assignments and maintain communication with clinical partners as needed.
  • Data and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report program data for internal review and external compliance requirements.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration; represent the program at meetings or events in the Program Director’s absence.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a BVNPT-approved school required; Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least one (1) year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program (VN, RN, or psychiatric technician) within the last five years; or
  • Three (3) years in nursing administration or education within the last five years.
  • Professional Preparation: Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a collaborative leadership style; ability to support program outcomes and student achievement.
