A Brief Overview Supports the restorative program in long-term care setting by implementing recommendations from physicians, PT, OT, and Speech therapy. The Therapy Technician provides care and services which enable the resident to reach and maintain their optimal level of independent functioning. What you will do Complies with all aspects of Resident Rights. Performs restorative duties as directed by the patients interdisciplinary care plan. Provides assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions as needed for residents to become as independent as possible in their activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, mobility, etc. Performs simple dressing changes and treatments such as foot soaks, application of TED Hose, use of restorative specific equipment, etc. Is able to perform all duties and functions of the Certified Nurse Assistant. Participates in emotional, educational, and spiritual support of families. Observes and reports changes in physical, cognitive, and behavioral functioning to the coordinator or charge nurse in a timely and appropriate manner. Practices standard precautions and maintains an environment that is clean and safe for all residents, families and staff. EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years of recent relevant experience.
