Overview Under the supervision of the licensed nursing staff, provides direct patient care to assigned patients to assure patient comfort, safety and hygiene needs. Working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, in an assisted living facility, is a rewarding career as it allows you to directly make a positive impact on the lives of elderly residents by providing them with personalized care, building meaningful relationships, and contributing to their overall well-being, offering a sense of fulfillment through helping others in a supportive community setting.

What you will do:

  • Assist residents with daily activities, providing physical and emotional support, which can significantly improve their quality of life.

  • Develop close relationships with residents and their families, getting to know their individual needs and preferences.

  • Provide companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.

  • Monitor the health and safety of residents, identifying potential hazards and ensuring quick access to help when needed.

  • Maintain cleanliness in residents' living spaces.

  • Notify nurses or supervisors about changes in residents' conditions.

  • Maintain accurate records of residents' information.

  • Understanding and following established policy and procedures related to fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universal precautions, infection control procedures, hazardous and chemical communication program.

  • Mentor new employees and assists with their orientation.

  • Lead, by example, following Freeman Regional Health Services CARE standards.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Must be 16 years or older
