The NM works collaboratively with all departments to ensure that nursing services are delivered at the appropriate level in keeping with DDA and MBON regulations. The NM is responsible for creating an environment conducive to achieving quality outcomes, effective use of resources and retention of quality staff. He (she) is responsible for the management and development of his (her) resources, human and fiscal if needed, to include implementation of quality control, quality improvement, satisfaction of supported individuals, families, and staff as well as review and revision of policies and procedures, as needed. The NM collaborates with other department leaders on issues related to the effective management of health and safety and interacts regularly with the appropriate resources to ensure the effectiveness of care. This is an ON CALL position Saturday and Sunday 7:30am-7:30pm. You will clock in at your home 7:30am and must stay in the area to be on call for any call outs. Must be okay with cats and dogs, and able to work with a wide variety of clients including difficult clients. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, administer medication under the direction of a nurse, and provide emotional support to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Help with mobility and transfers
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
