Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication/treatment. Ensure adequate medications, supplies, and equipment are available. Report needs to DON. Ensure narcotic records are accurate for your shift. Notify DON of all drug and narcotic discrepancies. Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with safety and infection control policies and procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal of soiled materials. This individual will collaborate with the National Simulation Director, Simulation Success Specialist, Campus Simulation Champion, Nursing Leadership, Campus Director, faculty, and students to promote excellence and support the strategic vision for simulation education at Rasmussen University. This position requires excellent time management, organization, and communication skills. Responsibilities: Simulation Center Operations and Maintenance- 75% Coordinates the delivery of all simulation activities. Maintains simulation activities and learner confidentiality. Ensures appropriate setup, breakdown, clean up (moulage), and restocking of the simulation, VR, debrief rooms, and additional teaching spaces before and after all simulation activities. Organizes and maintains storeroom environments, hallways, and control rooms. Operates patient manikins and AV equipment for the duration of simulations. Role plays in simulated scenarios as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Full-Time Faculty must become ATI Champions within 90 days of hire date. Prepare course plans and materials. Deliver course lectures/facilitate labs and/or clinical rotations. Monitor equipment and supply needs. Maintain classroom. Seek out an approved substitute in case of faculty member's need for absence. Enforce HCI policies (attendance, dress code, clinical policies, etc.). Participate in orientation, graduation, and pinning ceremonies (full-time faculty required and part-time requested). Work on retention plans and program development. Attend staff and faculty meetings (full-time faculty required and part-time requested). Participate in committees and knowledge sharing forums (full-time faculty required and part-time requested). Requirements Skills and Qualifications: At HCI, faculty delivers courses that are part of standard academic programs. Faculty Members are responsible for ensuring a quality education for students in their course and programs. All faculty should, at a minimum, have the degree required for the specific discipline and have experience and appropriate credentials in their relevant area of academia according to the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON), ACEN, ACCSC, and other governing bodies. The Nurse Administrator should remember that, according to the FBON, 50% or more of the faculty must have a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing. Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skills. Excellent teaching skill and ability to efficiently manage students' clinical and skills lab activities. Computer literacy skills including functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.). Ability to manage people and projects. Knowledgeable in the course content. Effective in directing and evaluating student learning and lab performance. Prepared in Educational Theory and Techniques. A willingness to follow high ethical standards. Education/Experience: Minimum of an earned Bachelor's degree with a major in nursing (BSN or equivalent) from an accredited nursing program (Required) Master's degree with a major in nursing (MSN or equivalent) from an accredited nursing program (Preferred) Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license issued by the Florida Department of Health (Required) Current and active Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (Required) Minimum of four (4) years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught (per ACCSC) Workload Expectations: Workload is dependent upon the faculty classification. About the Role The Director, Digital Content Development (DDCD) will apply deep knowledge of Nursing and Healthcare Education to help design, develop, and deliver optimal digital learning content experiences through market leading Elsevier learning platforms such as Sherpath and Elsevier Adaptive Quizzing. This individual is well versed in current instructional design methodologies, pedagogy/curriculum design aspects that are optimized for digital learning content development and deployment. The responsibilities of this role include managing, onboarding, and overseeing nursing and AH professional subject matter experts (SMEs), both freelance and contracted, as well as vendor-partner content development teams who assist in this process. The focus is on the development, review, and maintenance of derivative content through evaluation and provision of prescriptive feedback and the synthesis and incorporation of developments in nursing and AH education. This includes, but is not limited to, deep understanding of latest instructional practices, changes to educational and clinical care guidelines, and other primary research to support the accuracy and currency of the learning content. This role also provides internal and external thought leadership in nursing and AH education products and is familiar with the market trends and growing influence of generative AI models/tools for content generation and student/faculty support. Responsibilities Developing high quality content in adherence with Elsevier editorial policies and nursing-related standards, including AACN Essentials, NCLEX test plan, and other specialty-area industry standards. Supporting content development projects in area of expertise with support from the content team. Provide high-level expertise and input into the strategic plans for digital content delivery for the organization. Critically review content/data for all EAQ and Sherpath courses for accuracy, consistency and compliance with editorial guidelines.   • Participate in facility surveys made by authorized agencies.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc., as necessary.
  • Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident's admission, transfer, and or discharge.
  • Receive phone orders from physicians and record on the Physician's Order Form.
  • Chart all reports of accidents/incidents involving residents. Follow established procedures.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication/treatment.
  • Ensure adequate medications, supplies, and equipment are available. Report needs to DON.
  • Ensure narcotic records are accurate for your shift.
  • Notify DON of all drug and narcotic discrepancies.
  • Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with safety and infection control policies and procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal of soiled materials.
  • Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
  • All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that exhibits the IHC mission, vision, and core values.

Requirements of the Weekend Supervisor:

  • Registered Nurse in the State of Massachusetts
  • Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care facility preferred
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for older adults.
