Set up, break down, and maintain teaching labs for faculty-led on-campus labs. Conduct inventory; restock, repurpose, and create supplies. Set-up and maintain all technological equipment for student and faculty use, diagnose problems with equipment and make appropriate referrals for correction. Provide routine lab maintenance including cleaning, repairing, and troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment (i.e. IV equipment, manikins, medication carts, etc.). Participate in Lab and department meetings; provide input on curriculum recommendations, including clinical planning, supervision, and evaluation. Assist Lab Manager to orient new faculty and staff to equipment, supplies, and laboratory procedures. Act as a role model and resource for students in general matters pertaining to the nursing program and practice, and mentor students with special projects. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Three years nursing experience in acute care settings. Working knowledge of the methods, procedures and techniques of nursing work, tools, equipment and materials used in the trade, and hazard/safety precautions; of electronic medical records and current medication delivery methods and nursing skills. Skill in verbal and written communications, interpersonal relationships, organization, and using Microsoft Office Suite; in using electronic medical records and a bar code system for medication administration. The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Float Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA) - $24/hour

This position will travel to our American Senior Communities facilities in the Valparaiso, IN and surrounding areas!

What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

  • Assists in activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, transferring, and feeding of assigned residents.
  • Making a difference in the lives of the residents we serve by providing them with care and compassion.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff
  • Valid Indiana Certification
  • CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
