Overview of Position: The Nurse Manager (NM) for Ardmore Enterprises is a registered nurse with demonstrated expertise in case management, leadership, and management skills, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism, directs the planning, implementation and evaluation of care and management of I/DD populations. The NM works collaboratively with all departments to ensure that nursing services are delivered at the appropriate level in keeping with DDA and MBON regulations. The NM is responsible for creating an environment conducive to achieving quality outcomes, effective use of resources and retention of quality staff. He (she) is responsible for the management and development of his (her) resources, human and fiscal if needed, to include implementation of quality control, quality improvement, satisfaction of supported individuals, families, and staff as well as review and revision of policies and procedures, as needed. The NM collaborates with other department leaders on issues related to the effective management of health and safety and interacts regularly with the appropriate resources to ensure the effectiveness of care. He/she will also act as liaison between the organization and DDA, associated hospitals, long term care, or rehabilitation services as needed. General Responsibilities:

·         Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.

·         Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed. Provide daily Range of Motion Exercises.  Record data as instructed. Answer Resident calls promptly.

·         Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties (i.e., exposure to body fluids, lifting, transferring, use and disposal of personal protective equipment).

·         Wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., gait belt, mechanical lifts, etc.) when lifting or moving residents in accordance with plan of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma or equivalent.

·         Must possess a current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant in this state or certificate of completion of state approved nurse aide training program.

·         Minimum of one-year experience within a healthcare setting preferred.

·         Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred. 

·         Must possess superior customer service skills and professionalism.

·         Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
