Description Position Summary: Faculty members are responsible for the delivery of quality education services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Full-Time Faculty must become ATI Champions within 90 days of hire date. Prepare course plans and materials. Deliver course lectures/facilitate labs and/or clinical rotations. Monitor equipment and supply needs. Maintain classroom. Seek out an approved substitute in case of faculty member's need for absence. Enforce HCI policies (attendance, dress code, clinical policies, etc.). Participate in orientation, graduation, and pinning ceremonies (full-time faculty required and part-time requested). Work on retention plans and program development. Attend staff and faculty meetings (full-time faculty required and part-time requested). Participate in committees and knowledge sharing forums (full-time faculty required and part-time requested). Requirements Skills and Qualifications: At HCI, faculty delivers courses that are part of standard academic programs. Faculty Members are responsible for ensuring a quality education for students in their course and programs. All faculty should, at a minimum, have the degree required for the specific discipline and have experience and appropriate credentials in their relevant area of academia according to the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON), ACEN, ACCSC, and other governing bodies. The Nurse Administrator should remember that, according to the FBON, 50% or more of the faculty must have a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing. Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skills. Excellent teaching skill and ability to efficiently manage students' clinical and skills lab activities. Computer literacy skills including functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.). Ability to manage people and projects. Knowledgeable in the course content. Effective in directing and evaluating student learning and lab performance. Prepared in Educational Theory and Techniques. A willingness to follow high ethical standards. Education/Experience: Minimum of an earned Bachelor's degree with a major in nursing (BSN or equivalent) from an accredited nursing program (Required) Master's degree with a major in nursing (MSN or equivalent) from an accredited nursing program (Preferred) Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license issued by the Florida Department of Health (Required) Current and active Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (Required) Minimum of four (4) years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught (per ACCSC) Workload Expectations: Workload is dependent upon the faculty classification. Job Description

Summary

Under the direction of the Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care duties for a group of patients, from simple to complex, for the specialty population on the unit or department, under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse.

Education

High school or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Required: Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results (as required by the NH Board of Nursing).

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.

Licensure required: Current New Hampshire State LNA license

Experience

Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Performs activities of daily living and personal care needs under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

  • Performs technical skills/procedures relating to physical, mental health and social needs of patients under the guidance and supervision of the RN.

  • Documents care provided and reports to the RN observations of patient's physical, social and mental status and basic patient data collected.

  • Demonstrates adherence to safe patient handling policy.

  • Demonstrates time management skills.

  • Maintains the patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety and supplies of material and equipment.

  • Receives delegated work adhering to the five rights of delegation.

  • Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.

  • Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
