Position summary: This full time faculty position is part of the Health Sciences Division and reports to the Director of Nursing. Position responsibilities: The Full-time Instructor is a Level 2 Medical/Surgical Instructor and assumes responsibility for performance of all functions generally identified by the college as within the realms of the instructor. In addition, the instructor: Participates in planning, implementing and evaluating the teaching-learning process in the classroom, Simulation Lab, Skills Lab or clinical setting. Maintains accurate and complete course records as required by KC. Keeps abreast of current trends in education and nursing practice to improve his/her instructional ability. Maintains public relations with assigned clinical agencies to include assessing the adequacy of available clinical learning experiences. Works as a team for theory instruction, plans and carries out evaluation of nursing techniques. Refers students to appropriate references when indicated. Minimum Position Requirements: Hold a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the states of Texas, Master’s or doctorate degree in nursing Minimum of 3 years associated work experience, Show evidence of teaching abilities and maintaining current knowledge, clinical expertise and safety in subject area of teaching responsibility. Salary & Benefits:  36-hour work week for a healthy work life balance as well generous paid leave time. Health, life, and income protection insurance are provided. An excellent retirement program through the Teacher Retirement System or Optional Retirement Plan ‘ORP’ for full time faculty. Position summary:

This full time faculty position is part of the Health Sciences Division and reports to the Director of Nursing.

Position responsibilities:

The Full-time Instructor is a Level 2 Medical/Surgical Instructor and assumes responsibility for performance of all functions generally identified by the college as within the realms of the instructor. In addition, the instructor: Participates in planning, implementing and evaluating the teaching-learning process in the classroom, Simulation Lab, Skills Lab or clinical setting. Maintains accurate and complete course records as required by KC. Keeps abreast of current trends in education and nursing practice to improve his/her instructional ability. Maintains public relations with assigned clinical agencies to include assessing the adequacy of available clinical learning experiences. Works as a team for theory instruction, plans and carries out evaluation of nursing techniques. Refers students to appropriate references when indicated.

Minimum Position Requirements:

  • Hold a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the states of Texas,
  • Master’s or doctorate degree in nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years associated work experience,
  • Show evidence of teaching abilities and maintaining current knowledge, clinical expertise and safety in subject area of teaching responsibility.

Salary & Benefits:

All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.
