Manages existing agency relationships and develops and fosters new agency relationships. Focus on growing profitable relationships and rehabilitating unprofitable or low growth relationships. Oversees and monitors the workload and performance of assigned underwriting team. Monitors business decisions made by team members to ensure that underwriters operate within set guidelines, authority, rate goals, and region service directives while matching price to quality across the book of business. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration or equivalent relevant experience Six years of commercial lines underwriting experience CPCU designation or other underwriting-related designation(s) preferred Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines. The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $90,000-$124,000 range or the $99,000-$137,000 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
