Hayden Tower Service is seeking a qualified experienced directional driller. 1-2 years' directional drilling experience, preferred, in the safe operation and basic maintenance of Vermeer products.

Job Function

  • Work on horizontal directional drilling projects of all sizes.
  • Pre-walk and white line projects.
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials, machines and tools.
  • Safely and efficiently operate tools and equipment based on job requirements.
  • Verify location of existing utilities and adjust route as necessary based on job specifications and easement requirements.
  • Ability to determine proper drilling fluid additives for specific soil types and conditions. Assist with job site clean-up.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to work as a team with others and assist in training new hires.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to travel weekly, up to two weeks or more at a time 
  • Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment
  • Education in Gas and/or Utilities Construction (preferred)
  • Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables (preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. regularly
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation  

  • Competitive hourly rate that increases based on performance and obtaining certifications. Per diem.
