Establish and maintain appropriate discipline in the classroom and assist staff in establishment and maintenance of discipline in the school environment. 5. Prepare for classes assigned, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of the Principal at the local school. 6. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, board policy, and administrative regulation. 7. Evaluate student progress on a regular basis and in accordance with the system's established procedures. 8. Seek assistance of specialists as needed and make referrals when appropriate. 9. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students and to safeguard all equipment, materials, and facilities. 10. Make reasonable provision for being available to students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day. Procedures for such conferences will be mutually agreed upon by faculty and administration. 11. Work with other staff members in planning school activities, instructional goals, objectives, and methods. 12. Assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials. 13. All teachers participate in extracurricular activities as mutually agreed upon by faculty and administration. 14. Attend and participate regularly in faculty meetings. 15. Maintain a professional, cooperative working relationship with parents and community. 16. Promote good public relations for school and school system with the general public. 17. Maintain and improve professional competence. 18. Perform other related duties during school necessary to the safe and effective operation of the school when requested by the principal. Job Description

Overview: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Members. As a key part of our emergency response team, you will provide essential logistical, administrative, and non-emergency support to ensure the smooth operation of the fire department. This role requires a strong sense of community, a willingness to contribute behind the scenes, and a commitment to supporting our Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).

Responsibilities:

  • Community Service Events:
    1. Assist in organizing and supporting community events that promote fire safety and public education.
    2. Participate in outreach programs to engage with local residents and provide vital safety information, including fire safety tips and emergency preparedness.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    1. Assist with the management of department records, including incident reports.
    2. Support the department in managing day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Emergency Response:
    1. Provide rehabilitation support for firefighters and emergency responders at the scene of active emergencies.
    2. Assist in crisis situations, including providing support to victims, families, and responders during emergencies or disasters.
  • And So Much More:
    1. Support additional activities as needed, from event planning and fundraising efforts to maintaining equipment and facilities.
    2. Assist in department social events that foster camaraderie and teamwork within the volunteer team.
    3. Take on special projects or tasks to address unique department needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
  • Physically able to assist with tasks such as lifting equipment, driving vehicles, and standing for extended periods.
