Job description: As a Program Architect, you will work with project teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth work environment with bright and talented engineers, architects, designers, builders, crafters, and manufacturers to improve and deploy a prototype building program and to build an alternative to the traditional construction industry. From desk to factory floor to job sites and client meetings, you will be challenged to develop your skills in a new field, taking a critical role in project delivery via the DMC methodology

Overview
We are developing a repeatable building platform designed for deployment within hyperscale data center environments. This product line is expected to generate over $100M in annual revenue and scale significantly over the coming years. Electrical system performance, reliability, and cost discipline will be critical to the success of this initiative.
This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of the electrical systems that support this product platform. Rather than supporting a single project, this position focuses on building a repeatable electrical system architecture that can be manufactured, deployed, and improved across multiple projects.
The role operates within an integrated design, manufacturing, and construction operating model where system decisions are made collaboratively across product, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and construction teams.
Position Summary
The Manager / Head of Electrical Systems will be accountable for the electrical scope of a hyperscale product line, ensuring strong system performance, predictable deployment outcomes, and cost efficiency.
This is a leadership role focused on building and scaling an electrical system framework. The position will oversee electrical architecture, manufacturing integration, field execution alignment, and continuous system improvement as the product evolves.
The role requires a builder—someone capable of developing systems, teams, and processes that improve performance and scalability with each deployment.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical System LeadershipOwn the electrical system architecture and deployment strategy for a hyperscale infrastructure product lineInfluence electrical distribution strategy, panelization approaches, grounding systems, lighting integration, and mission-critical interfacesEnsure electrical systems are designed for manufacturability, repeatability, cost efficiency, and field reliabilityTranslate operational feedback from deployments into continuous product improvements
Product & Manufacturing IntegrationMove system complexity out of field construction and into controlled design and manufacturing environmentsPartner with manufacturing engineering and supply chain teams to standardize components and optimize sourcing strategiesSupport takt-based manufacturing processes by ensuring electrical scope integrates seamlessly into production workflows
Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with product leadership, engineering teams, manufacturing, construction, and program managementAlign electrical system design with broader product and platform governanceSupport architectural decisions and system improvements across multiple product deployments
Team LeadershipBuild and lead a dedicated electrical team including:Electrical Project ManagerElectrical DesignerElectrical Manufacturing SMEElectrical Construction LeadDevelop a high-performing team capable of scaling alongside the product lineProvide technical leadership and mentorship across electrical disciplines
Deployment & Continuous ImprovementProvide hands-on leadership during early product deploymentsEnsure alignment between product design intent and field executionImplement feedback loops that improve reliability, reduce variability, and increase margins over time
QualificationsRequired Experience12+ years of experience working with commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical systemsDemonstrated ownership of electrical systems from design through deploymentExperience managing electrical cost performance, budgets, or margin accountabilityLeadership experience across design, manufacturing integration, and construction executionStrong knowledge of electrical codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, grounding and bonding requirementsExperience with power distribution systems including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and utility coordinationAbility to interpret electrical design documents, specifications, and one-line diagramsExperience integrating commissioning considerations into design and construction processes
Preferred ExperienceData center or other mission-critical infrastructure experienceExperience with prefabrication, modular construction, or repeatable product environmentsProfessional Engineering (PE) license or Master Electrician credentials
LocationBirmingham, AlabamaApproximately 55–65% on-site presence with periodic travel to active job sites.
