THE JOB Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham is seeking Security team members. The Security team plays a key role in venue safety and guest services during our concert season. Security screens guests, monitors venue access, and ensures a fun and safe concert environment for all by upholding venue policies. Security will operate metal detector equipment and other equipment as needed. This is a part-time, seasonal position. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises. As needed, write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Operate walkthrough metal detecting devices and hand wands to screen individuals and check bags, preventing passage of prohibited articles into the venue. Identify and repair potential equipment issues such as leaking valves & pumps throughout the plant. Make daily rounds throughout the plant and check critical equipment for proper operation. Service and repair lab equipment as needed. Document all work orders and preventive maintenance work orders in the computerized maintenance management system. (Mapcon) Assist Maintenance Planner in the spare parts management program to ensure adequate inventory of spare parts is always maintained. Provide daily report of activities to supervisor. Perform weekly preventive maintenance tasks on assigned equipment as scheduled. Secondary Duties Provide project support as needed. This would include maintenance support as directed by the project manager. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED is required. Additionally, an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance and 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment is desired. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, Decimals, and Fractions. THE JOB

Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham is seeking Security team members. The Security team plays a key role in venue safety and guest services during our concert season. Security screens guests, monitors venue access, and ensures a fun and safe concert environment for all by upholding venue policies. Security will operate metal detector equipment and other equipment as needed. This is a part-time, seasonal position.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
  • As needed, write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Operate walkthrough metal detecting devices and hand wands to screen individuals and check bags, preventing passage of prohibited articles into the venue.
  • Greet guests, answer guest questions, assist guests with navigating the venue
  • Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly implement various training methods and standard operating procedures.
  • Warn persons of code of conduct infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue-this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining a fun, friendly, and safe environment throughout the venue; uphold venue policies and escalate concerns to appropriate members of the management team in a timely manner

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
  • Require nights, weekends, and holiday shifts in all types of weather.
  • Tolerance of loud noises.
  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
