We are seeking a skilled Technician in Integration Engineering who will leverage their technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight. This role involves setting up production areas, operating precision tools, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support our mission of safe space exploration. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will support the Combustion Devices Value Stream which includes the Core Stack Assembly and Nozzle of the Blue Origin lunar engine - BE-7. Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) and precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity. Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed. Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles to promote safety and operational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another related field. We are seeking a skilled Technician in Integration Engineering who will leverage their technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight. This role involves setting up production areas, operating precision tools, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support our mission of safe space exploration.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will support the Combustion Devices Value Stream which includes the Core Stack Assembly and Nozzle of the Blue Origin lunar engine - BE-7.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Configure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and minimize any potential delays during the transition to high-rate manufacturing.

  • Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) and precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.

  • Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles to promote safety and operational efficiency.

  • Tasks involve supporting various assembly tasks for Combustion Devices Value Stream which may include alloy, cryo fit, running a heat treat furnace, proof and flow testing, kitting and cleaning parts for the core stack and assembly of core stack.

  • Work flexible hours, including off-shift and weekends as needed.

  • Collaborate effectively with multiple teams to build trust, uphold professionalism, and foster an inclusive culture.

  • Help maintain inventory of tooling and equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another related field.

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Basic use of hand tools & Drills

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.

  • Experience with precision calibration tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, and optical measuring instruments.

  • Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights (work stands, ladders, lifts) and/or in confined spaces.

  • Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Proven track record in problem-solving and troubleshooting complex issues.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field.

  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.
