Summary The pharmacy technician performs an essential role in the preparation, compounding, dispensing, and distribution of sterile and nonsterile hazardous medications in the ambulatory oncology setting, including handling hazardous waste, documentation, and inventory management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Technician is responsible for ensuring safe preparation and dispensing of intravenous hazardous and non-hazardous medications. Technician should practice correct usage of PPE, including compliance with regulatory requirements mandating PPE be donned across all aspects of hazardous drug handling. Technicians should play a role in embracing CSTDs for the preparation of hazardous medications, including involvement in the evaluation process and familiarity with regulatory standards. Technicians shall be fully trained in the storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous drugs per employer, state, and national guidelines; this training shall occur before preparing or handling hazardous preparations and the effectiveness of the training should be verified by testing specific techniques. All training should be documented, and competency should be reassessed and documented at least every 12 months. Technicians should be trained on hazardous drug exposure and spill control, including treatment of individuals accidentally exposed to hazardous medications and on the disposal of hazardous medications. Technicians may aid in CADD pump preparation upon demonstration of competency. Technicians should support multiple aspects of investigational drug management, including inventory, information and record keeping, and preparation of investigational products for dispensing. Technicians should minimize medication waste through monitoring compliance with policies and procedures including dose rounding and optimizing drug use through schedule coordination. Pharmacy technicians should carry out daily purchasing activities and assist with vendors, group purchasing organizations, and manufacturer contracts. Technicians should promote inventory control strategies, including minimization of expired products, promotion of adequate medication turnover, and alignment with product-line purchasing, to ensure inventory control management of high-cost items while reducing overall stock supplies. When receiving products, pharmacy technicians should employ special precautions for hazardous substances and ensure fidelity of drug product specific shipping and handling requirements. Technicians should contribute to drug shortage management, including managing purchasing strategies and investigating procurement of alternative products. Technicians should leverage information technology resources to improve quality and efficiency of Alabama Oncology, including preparation of reports from clinical and automation systems to facilitate organizational, departmental, and individual decision making. Technicians should evaluate monitoring for equipment and storage facilities based on current standard operating protocols for continued fidelity checks of equipment for medication storage, compounding, and delivery. Education, Experience, and Licensure Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician at the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. Understanding and demonstrating proper aseptic technique as outlined in USP <797> and USP <800>. Compounding and dispensing hazardous medications is highly preferred. Technicians may attain the necessary knowledge base in a variety of ways, ranging from on-the-job training to online or publication-based training, employer-based structured didactic learning, and formalized study with programs that have proper accreditation status. Must obtain 3 hours of continuing education; one hour of which is subject to a live credit hour. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Maintain a professional demeanor with all students, coworkers, and community members. ● Provide excellent classroom instruction through positive and inspiring learning experiences for all students using a variety of teaching methods and making every learning situation relevant to career preparation. ● Prepare detailed lesson plans, job sheets, and laboratory demonstrations for all units of instruction. ● Recommend changes in the curriculum to maintain a current program. ● Monitor the progress for each student in the program. ● Work as a teammate with other instructors and support staff. ● Update and continually improve your own teaching techniques and skills and successfully complete all required professional development activities. ● Teach the depth and scope of the class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog and relate the instructions to careers and employer expectations. ● Prepare and grade examinations based upon course objectives, publish lesson schedules, and return all assignments in a timely manner. ● Work creatively in all classes, encourage students, and maintain satisfactory retention. ● Begin and end each class at the designated times, providing a full period of instruction. ● Accurately maintain attendance records in accordance with the Attendance Policy, submit. class roster daily, maintain a separate record of attendance and grades that is clearly labeled and turned in at the end of the term. ● Attend faculty meetings, and other CCA events as required by the Alabaster City Schools. ● Participate in extracurricular activities, such as campus and community events. ● Supervise all laboratory experience. ● Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment. ● Maintain proper inventory of all equipment and tools assigned to the program. ● Maintain an active advisory committee which meets twice a year, minimally. ● Visit industry to develop and maintain a good rapport with employers and to monitor students participating in internships. ● Take an active role in the advice and counseling of students. ● Assist students to find employment in an occupation related to training. ● Contribute to the overall mission of the Champions Craft Academy by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine-month (187 days) contract. SALARY RANGE: Appropriate placement on current salary schedule. EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of Board policy.

Job Description

We're looking for a driver to join our team! LOCAL POSITION! The position is based at our home location and involves delivering No-Touch freight, which mostly involves drop and hook. It is a Walmart account for swift!  Must live in the area listed!  Driver too far out wont be considered! NO TOUCH FRIEGHT! 

  • Weekly Average: $1500 to 1600 a week
  • Schedule: WILL WORK WEEKENDS! ANY 2 DAYS OFF DURING THE WEEK!
  • Shift: BOTH DAY AND NIGHT DRIVING

    • 4 MONTHS TRUCK TRAILER DRIVING EXPERIENCE
    • Clean MVR and driving record with a valid class A driver's license
