Overview

A leading acute care hospital in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire is seeking an experienced RN Manager for the Cardiac Medical Unit. This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team providing advanced cardiac and telemetry care in a progressive environment known for excellence in cardiovascular and stroke services.

The ideal candidate is a clinically skilled, hands-on leader with recent cardiac experience and a passion for improving patient outcomes, staff engagement, and quality performance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily unit operations, staffing, and patient flow

  • Conduct rounds to ensure optimal care delivery and patient satisfaction

  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations for clinical staff

  • Support staff education, training, and competency development

  • Ensure compliance with all hospital, state, and regulatory standards

  • Manage departmental budgets and supply inventory

  • Partner with physicians, directors, and interdisciplinary teams to improve care quality

  • Track and evaluate key performance indicators and quality metrics

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active RN license (New Hampshire or Compact)

  • Minimum 1–3 years of acute care nursing experience

  • Demonstrated cardiac or telemetry experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • 1+ year of leadership or charge nurse experience in a cardiac setting

  • Strong understanding of patient throughput, quality metrics, and staff development
