Position Summary: The Industrial Electrician I is responsible for installing, moving, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment. A minimum of 4 years of experience or 8000 hours of practical experience in an apprenticeship program or equivalent is required for this position. This individual will work autonomously under the direction of the Electrician Supervisor and must work well in a team environment. The Industrial Electrician I must work well with other trades, Facilities and Electrician personnel, and always keep in mind our goal is to support Manufacturing, Production, and all internal personnel.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work on a wide range of electrical projects.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems efficiently.
- Complete electrical projects from start to finish including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation within given deadlines.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
- Help out as directed or take initiative.
- Complete all assigned tasks on time or early.
- Participate on problem solving teams for driving to root cause of internal and external quality failures, particularly related to prevention of customer escapes.
- Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
- Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
- May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
- May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent, at least 4 years or 8000 hours of practical experience in an apprenticeship program or equivalent and 600 hours of National Electric Code and Electrical Theory. Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and circuits, and understands electrical codes and regulations, including National Electrical Code (NEC) or other relevant local codes.
- Journeyman Electrical License required.
- Thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures and protocols.
- Proficiency in mathematics for calculations related to electrical installations.
- Familiarity with and proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in the electrical trade.
- Basic knowledge and use of computer programs such as Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
Working Conditions:
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
- Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
- Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
- The duties of this position require standing for long periods of time, frequently working on ladders, scaffolds, and lifts; frequent kneeling, running, sitting, crouching, crawling, twisting, grasping and walking can be expected along with frequent lifting equipment up to 40 pounds and/or moving of equipment and materials up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
- Work environment will sometimes be dusty and dirty with possible confined spaces.
- Assignments will require exposure to varying climate and environmental conditions both extreme cold and warm weather condition for extended periods of time.
- Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, be able to grip, reach, pull, and turn.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
- Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
