- Ensure each guest receives a stellar experience and is welcomed into the store and greeted with our custom step-in lines.
- Field guest questions concerning product information, price and uses for products.
- Establish rapport with guests to ensure their return and/or word of mouth advertising.
- Maintain merchandise and product inventory levels throughout the store (on shelves, counters, tables and containers).
- Help maintain store appearance by contributing toward daily routines.
- Assess store inventory levels; notify management of replenishment requirements.
- Price merchandise with labels, SKU’s, prices and locations.
- Maintain solid, accurate and current product knowledge to adequately promote product by reading applicable publications and attending required training activities.
- Comply with operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation of the store.
- Contribute to the team effort and embody core values of Inclusion, Safety, Courtesy, Show and Efficiency.
- Proven guest focus
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Precision in counting and cash handling
- Ability to utilize simple math skills to measure ingredients, read a scale and follow recipes
- Interest in and ability to share knowledge of our many product varieties
- Ability to pivot and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, team player
- Full Time Minimum: 32+ hours per week, must have availability on weekends
- Ability to work a consistent and reliable schedule: days, nights, weekends and Holidays
- Ability to operate kitchen tools and food equipment (Tea Bar)
- Physically able to assemble and prepare merchandising displays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 100% of the time)
- Ability to lift and maneuver inventory; up to 35lbs
- Ability to tolerate spice aromas for long periods of time
