Sales Manager - Ahead Sales University Business Development Sales Manager The Business Development Manager will be joining a rapidly growing Sales organization to lead and manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDR). Business Development Sales Manager

The Business Development Manager will be joining a rapidly growing Sales organization to lead and manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDR). This role will be responsible for hiring, developing, coaching and motivating the team to drive qualified opportunities for our Client Director teams. We are seeking a motivated individual who is determined to succeed and is driven by team wins and overall Company success. We've developed a unique proficiency in successful pipeline generation through an outbound engagement model as well as inbound lead handling. This role will be responsible for building on that base, growing and scaling the team, and helping the team hit the next level through improved productivity. You'll be responsible for elevating your team's sales skills and industry knowledge to become the next generation of sales leaders and successfully transition to AHEAD Associate Client Director's or Mid-Market sellers.

What You'll Do

  • Hire, train, mentor, develop and motivate a high-performing team of BDRs
  • Create and implement a repeatable training program for new hires and curriculum tailored for ongoing training and development.
  • Establish a clear pathway for progression to outside sales roles including Associate Client Directors and Mid-Market sales teams.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on email campaigns, market trend analysis, call blitz initiatives, events, and data tagging within the BDR program.
  • Ensure alignment with the enterprise sales teams to support strategic growth initiatives and AHEAD's ramping client directors.
  • Refine processes around day-to-day operations of the team - research approach, warm calls, call scripts, email templates, prospect qualification
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on email campaigns, market trend analysis, call blitz initiatives, events, and data tagging within the BDR program.
  • Oversee key performance indicators, including dials, customer contact verification, meeting qualification, and coaching the team to achieve metrics.
  • Provide moral support, constructive feedback, and productive one-on-one sessions to facilitate goal setting and performance improvement.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to develop and maintain organization to create a scalable, repeatable framework that helps us exceed our business goals
  • Coordinate and set up technical, vendor, and sales training sessions to enhance team capabilities.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • 3-5 years of relevant technology experience
  • 1-2 years managing a sales development team
  • Experience with Infrastructure, Cloud and/or Security is ideal
  • Track record of over-achieving quota in past positions
  • Proven ability to promote BDRs into successful enterprise sellers
  • Experience managing 10+ BDRs/SDRs across various segments
  • Experience building and managing new teams, processes and documentation
  • Analytical and highly metrics and process-driven
  • Collaborative, team-oriented coaching and leadership style
  • Strong work ethic with self-starter attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
