Job Description

Sierra Space Careers:

At Sierra Space, we build the missions and systems that keep our world secure in the domain above Earth.

Sierra Space team members share a spirit of innovation and collaboration and a belief that we can deliver on the boldest missions in space today. Together with our customers, we aim to safeguard our nation, sustain human presence in space, and secure the freedom of operations in low Earth orbit and beyond.

Our success is measured by the trust of those who rely on what we build and deliver, and our technologies keep the United States and its allies mission-ready throughout space.

We are mission-driven, and together, we are an extraordinary team.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, SI&OP will support the execution of integrated planning processes that connect customer demand, supply and capacity, program execution, and financial outcomes. This role will implement and optimize SI&OP processes across demand forecasting, inventory management, workforce planning, and supply planning to support efficient, scalable operations. This role coordinates cross-functional activities to align sales forecasts with production capabilities and inventory strategies, ensuring on-time delivery of spacecraft and subsystems products while optimizing cost, capacity, and working capital. The Senior Manager will facilitate collaboration across Business Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management to enable predictable execution in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Execute and Optimize SI&OP Processes

About You

Our mission is driven by an unyielding commitment to advancing space-based technology in service of our customers and safeguarding national security. We seek individuals who are passionate about innovating beyond boundaries and relentlessly pursuing solutions that protect, preserve and empower - to join us in this critical mission.

We're looking for team members who align with our values, mission and goals - while also meeting the minimum qualifications below. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Execute and Optimize SI&OP Processes

  • Implement SI&OP processes and tools tailored to Sierra Space's business needs in the satellite, spacecraft, and subsystems sectors
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning activities-working with Programs, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Development to maintain an integrated and dynamic plan
  • Support scenario planning, trade-off analysis, and capacity/inventory strategies that enable agile response to changing conditions
  • Track and analyze SI&OP performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements to optimize operational efficiency
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Maintain integrated planning data from CRM, ERP, MRP, FP&A, and operations systems to support decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility into planning metrics and trends
  • Support the adoption of digital planning tools and analytics capabilities
  • Analyze data sets to provide insights and recommendations to leadership, supporting operational improvements
  • Process Governance & Execution
  • Execute SI&OP planning standards, cadences, and processes to ensure consistency and discipline
  • Facilitate planning meetings and forums that align supply, demand, and financial perspectives
  • Monitor adherence to planning processes and report on performance metrics
  • Change Management & Adoption
  • Drive adoption of SI&OP processes across functional teams and programs
  • Develop training materials, process documentation, and best practices to support process adoption
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on SI&OP methodologies and tools
  • Build cross-functional relationships that support planning effectiveness
  • Cross-Functional Integration
  • Ensure SI&OP outputs are translated into master schedules, materials planning, and program execution plans
  • Support planning for new program introductions, proposals, and long-lead procurement decisions
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on capacity, resource, and inventory planning decisions

What Success Looks Like

  • Reliable, accurate planning processes that teams trust and use consistently
  • Improved forecast accuracy and capacity utilization
  • Effective cross-functional coordination and communication
  • Timely identification and escalation of planning risks and opportunities
  • Strong process adoption and engagement across programs and functions

How You Lead

  • Collaborative: You work effectively across functions and build strong partnerships
  • Analytically rigorous: You use data to drive insights and support sound decisions
  • Process-oriented: You implement and improve processes with discipline and focus
  • Results-driven: You deliver outcomes and hold yourself accountable

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business operations, program planning, supply chain, or related fields, with at least 5+ years in roles with cross-functional coordination or team leadership responsibilities
  • Experience with SI&OP or integrated planning processes
  • 3-5 years of experience with SI&OP
  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following: financial planning & analysis, program/operations planning, supply chain management, or business analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build relationships, and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Experience with change management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven skills in communication, presentation, conflict resolution, and time management
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, cost control, and resource planning
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels
  • Working knowledge of CRM/ERP/MRP/FP&A systems; understanding of capacity planning, constraints management, and inventory strategies
  • Experience supporting organizational process adoption and improvement initiatives
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry, US Department of Defense, NASA/Civil space, or commercial space sectors
  • Familiarity with financial forecasting, EACs, and program reviews
  • Experience with advanced planning tools and business intelligence platforms

Compensation:

Pay Range:

$131,636.00 - $181,020.50

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
