This role is ideal for an experienced, hands-on engineer with strong expertise in RF and communications design, including software-defined radios (SDR), signal processing, and system-level integration.The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and validation of RF-based communication systems for mission-critical applications. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior technical leaders to deliver innovative and reliable solutions supporting national security.What You'll Do•Contribute to the design and development of RF communication systems for defense and secure applications.•Develop, analyze, and validate models for communications and RF-based systems.•Design and implement signal processing algorithms.•Support software-defined radio (SDR) development using frameworks such as GNU Radio, REDHAWK, or similar.•Participate in system integration, testing, and validation activities, including hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing.•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, hardware, and cybersecurity engineers.•Document technical work and present findings to internal stakeholders and program teams.
