Description
The CDL-A or CDL-B Driver at Piscataqua Landscaping plays a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, as they are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting equipment, materials, and personnel to various job sites.
As an essential member of our team, the CDL-A or CDL-B Driver must uphold our commitment to quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction while adhering to all relevant safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Safe Operation of Vehicles: Operate and drive company vehicles, including trucks with a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License, while always maintaining a strong emphasis on safety.
- Equipment Transport: Safely load, transport, and unload landscaping equipment, machinery, and materials to and from job sites, ensuring proper securement and handling.
- Timely Delivery: Execute assigned routes and deliveries promptly to ensure efficient completion of landscaping projects and meet clients' schedules.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition; report any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Documentation: Complete accurate and timely records, including trip logs, vehicle inspections, and other relevant paperwork as required by the company and regulatory authorities.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation, including but not limited to DOT regulations, weight limits, and hours of service.
- Safety Protocols: Follow established safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
- Communication: Coordinate with the landscaping team to ensure efficient and smooth operations, providing clear communication on transportation-related matters.
- Client Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients or the public while representing Piscataqua Landscaping.
- Efficiency and Productivity: Optimize transportation routes and methods to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.
Additional Requirements
- Valid and current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Prior experience in operating commercial vehicles, preferably in a landscaping or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment such as trailers and related attachments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client interactions.
- Physical capability to handle the demands of loading and unloading equipment and materials.
- Attention to detail and adherence to timelines and schedules.
- Flexibility in working hours, as some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends may be required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid and current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
