Overview
Job Description
Location: Westbrook/Scarborough, METiming: Mon-Fri | 6AM - 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Assemble medical devices and related components, including electronic assembly, casting/coating, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
- Utilize microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, and adhesives.
- Operate various equipment while following specified and standardized procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
- Perform tests using computerized test equipment to ensure product quality.
- Repair and correct devices/components as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents.
- Ensure all parts are traceable and address quality issues promptly.
- Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices and equipment.
- Dispose of hazardous waste materials according to regulations.
- Participate in quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual and team performance goals.
- Keep the work area clean and sanitary, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Notify supervisors of supply/material needs and any production difficulties.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or assembly role.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures at a 6th-grade level.
- Basic math skills at a 6th-grade level.
- Proficient in using electronic data collection systems and computer software.
- Good dexterity for handling small components.
- Strong decision-making abilities with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform detailed assembly work and utilize various tools and equipment.
- Must be comfortable working in a controlled cleanroom environment.
