Job Description
MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.
Job Purpose
The SupplyPlannercollaborates with Product Managers,Demand Planners, and Buyersto ensurethatappropriate amountsof inventory arecarriedto efficiently satisfy customer demand. Supply Plannersare responsible forreviewingprocurement recommendations from theSupply Planand releasing planned orders for execution, as well asidentifyingand resolving excessinventoryandgaps in supply.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
TheRole’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with Demand Planners,Product Managers, and Buyersto ensure thatinputs to the Supply Plan are up to date and accurate.
Releaseplanned orders from the Supply Plan (astransfers, work orders, and purchase requisitions)to create a supply of inventory as.
Work closely withProduct Managers onprocurement of products withcomplexlong-termorder cycles to ensure constant supply.
Reviewand resolveSupply Plan exceptions such as Excess Inventory,Demand-at-Risk, and Reschedules/Cancellations,to ensureefficient deployment of inventory capital andadequate supplyof material.
Collaborate with Product Managers to create and provide demand forecasts to critical suppliers.
RequiredExperience
Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience, which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Preferred Experience
Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management
Work experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud-Procurement and/orSupply Chain Planningmodules.
Skills & Abilities
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, and vertical lookup)
The ability to learn MRC Global-specific software.
Strong organization and time managementskills.
Establish internal and external business relationships using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, good decision-making skills, and willingness to exercise them.
Maintain availability to work beyond core business hours, including evenings and/or weekends, as necessary to meet fluctuating business demands.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment.
May require prolonged periods of sitting/standing.
